MUFTIĆ Esad

(Gradačac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1944)

He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1965. He graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1970 and became a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH). He completed his post-graduate studies at the Graphic Department of the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1973.

Printmaker Esad Muftić presented himself to the public with his drawings and prints, and he managed to reach creative maturity in both fields which can be viewed as two separate entities. Although prints result from drawings, they are often just a starting point, an inspiration for further design.

He worked as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
