Buić Jagoda
(Split, Croatia, 1930 – Venice, Italy, 2022)
Graduated interior architecture and set design, textile and costume design in Vienna in 1954. From 1962, the focus of her visual arts preoccupation is tapestry. Her set and costume design for theatre, TV and film are also very distinguished. She is the recipient of numerous Yugoslav (the Vladimir Nazor Award in 1971) and international awards (Grand Prix Sao Paolo 1975 and Herder Award of the University of Vienna in 1976). She exhibited at the world biennales (Venice 1968 and 1970, Sao Paolo 1967 and 1979 and nine times at the Biennale of Lausanne). She is the guest professor at the Royal College of Art in London. She lives and works in Paris, Dubrovnik, Venice and Bonnieux, France.
