Bukovac Vlaho

(Cavtat, Croatia, 1855 – Prague, Czech Republic, 1922)

From 1877 to 1880, studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Member of the “Serbian Learned Society” and the president of the “Society of Croatian Artists” in Zagreb. He was the honorary member of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences and corresponding member of the Czech Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as Zagreb-based Yugoslav Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 1903, he became the professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
