Domac Ivan
(Slavonski Brod, 1904 – Banja Luka, 1975)
In 1923, he completed the Gymnasium in Slavonski Brod, where he was taught drawing by Jerolim Miše. In 1932 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb under Marino Tartaglia. He taught drawing in Zagreb (1932 – 36, 1945 – 66), Vinkovci (1940), Čakovec (1940), Nova Gradiška (1940 – 45). In later years, he painted copies of works by old masters such as Velázquez, El Greco, Delacroix and Corot. After retiring in 1966 he lived in Privlaka near Vinkovci. The collection of his paintings is in the Vinkovci Art Gallery.
