Đorđević-Tomašević Nevenka
(Sînnicolau Mare, Rumunija, 1899 – Zagreb, 1975)
Upon her arrival in Zagreb in 1915, she enrolled in the private painting school of Ljubo Babić and from 1916 she studied at the College of Arts and Crafts (Lj. Babić, Menci Clement Crnčić and Maksimilijan Vanka). She attended master classes in Berlin from 1920 to 1922 under Willy Jaeckel, Alexander Archipenko and Erich Heckel. She made ceramics, and she is more known for her works in ceramics than for paintings. She presented ceramic sculptures for the first time in 1927, at the exhibition of the Djelo group at the Art Pavilion. She was fascinated by the maritime motives, and she also made a valuable contribution to the Croatian portrait painting. She was awarded at the International Exhibition of Women Painters in Bolzano in 1954.
