Furtula Predrag

(Sarajevo, 1920 – 1995)

He completed primary and secondary school in Sarajevo. Graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1949. He exhibited for the first time in Sarajevo in 1949, at ULUBiH exhibitions. He continued his training at the workshop of Vanja Radauš in Zagreb from 1951 to 52. He taught at the Teacher Training College in Sarajevo since 1954. In the more mature stage of his work, academic treatment has given place to a looser treatment of form. He won the third prize at the Yugoslav competition for the sculpture of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in Belgrade in 1972. Made a number of monuments and busts.
