Ipavec Jože

He graduated from the gymnasium in Maribor, where he later took lessons in painting from Joža Žagar (1946-49). He worked as a painter and set designer at the Maribor Theater (1940-41 and 1945-52). At the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb he was engaged as the principal painter in the stage workshop (1952 – 76). In the eighties he moved to Šentjur. He mainly painted landscapes, vedute and portraits.
