Tiješić Petar
(Sarajevo, B&H, 1888 – Sarajevo, B&H, 1978)
Tiješić first took private lessons in painting in Sarajevo and Vienna, and then enrolled with the Academy in Krakow (1909-1914). He lived in Paris in 1925. In addition to painting, he made set designs at the National Theatre in Sarajevo and Mostar (1914-1918). Between 1920 and 1923, he had a private school of painting. He received the highest BiH award for his work and had about twenty solo and numerous group exhibitions. The major retrospective exhibition of the works of Petar Tiješić was held in 1969 at the National Gallery of BiH u Sarajevo.
