Turkalj Joza

(Irig, Vojvodina, Serbia, 1890 – Zagreb, Croatia, 1943)

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb 1910-14. In the period from 1920 to 1922 he continued his studies in Vienna. During his life, he made portraits, tombstones, decorative plastics, medals and memorials. A frequent   theme in his opus is female figure and nudes.
