Milovan Krstić (1909-2006)
He completed the Art School in Belgrade under Petar Palavičini. He worked in Niš and produced relief masks on the building of the National Theater of Niš in 1933. He is the author of monuments, reliefs and busts of soldiers people’s heroes (Negotin, Ljubić near Čačak, Prokuplje, Kragujevac, Prijepolje, Sjenica, Sićevo, Obrenovac) as well as portraits and figural compositions in wood and stone. Later works are closer to Constructivism and abstract art. In 2004, he donated his 50 sculptures made in the period 1947-2002 to the National Museum in Niš.
