Miroslav Kraljević

He studied law in Vienna, where he also attended painting courses run by George Fischhof. He left studies of law and enrolled in graphic arts under Mortiz Heymann in 1906/7. He was admitted to the Academy in 1907 and studied with Josip Račić and Vladimir Becić. He spent the last two years of his life in Paris. He studied briefly at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, but during independent development of his painting style he moved from plein air Impressionism, through Secession to Cézzaneism and Expressionism. He went to a sanatorium at Brestovac (Medvednica) to treat tuberculosis at the beginning of 1913.
