Josip Račić

In 1903, attended the course of painting and drawing led by B.Čikoš-Sesija and M.C.Crnčić. In Munich, he studied at the school run by a Slovenian, A. Ažbe, and stayed there until 1905. In the autumn of the same year, he passed the entry exams at the Academy in Munich. In 1908, he went to Paris, where he made a series of watercolors with the motives of the bridges, avenues and parks of Paris. He was found shot dead in his hotel room. He was one of the founders of the Croatian Moderna.
