Enver Štaljo
(Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1931 – Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1991)
He attended the Fine Arts Department of the Teachers’ College in Banja Luka, where he studied under the mentorship of professor Božo Nikolić. He continued his studies at the College of Education in Sarajevo, where he studied under the mentorship of professor Radenko Mišević.
His love of art is evidenced by the fact that Štaljo set up his first exhibition when he was eight years old. His mature paintings were created in the late 1950s, and they are marked by a darker color palette. Indoors, interior and open windows are specific motives for his painting.
After returning to Banja Luka he worked as a teacher in an elementary school. He was a member of the group Četvorica. From 1961 to 1970, he teaches art pedagogy at the Teacher’s School in Banja Luka.
