Vladimir Becić (1886-1954) educated in Brod, Budapest, Osijek and Zagreb. In 1905, he left Munich on a scholarship and in 1909, he moved to Paris. In 1919, he bought an estate in Blažuj, where he participated in the creation of the first art colony that was closed in 1923, with his departure to Zagreb, where he became a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts.
