Frano Kršinić
(Lumbarda – Korčula, Croatia, 1897 – Zagreb, Croatia, 1982 )
From 1917 to 1921, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Loved and worked in Belgrade until 1924 and then went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where he taught between 1924 and 1947. He was one of the founders of the group “Zemlja” (“Land”) and a member of the group “Nezavisni” (The Independent”). He had numerous exhibitions, both solo and group, and received a great number of recognitions. he was also a member of the Yugoslav Academy of Arts and Sciences, based in Zagreb.
