Damir Nikšić

(Brezovo Polje near Brčko, B&H, 1970)

Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Milan and Bologna, and graduated in 2000 from the Academy of Fine Arts, the Department for Painting  in Sarajevo. In the period, 2000-2004, undertook the post-graduate studies at the University of Arizona, USA. In 2003, exhibited at the Venice Biennale. He obtained his MA degree in fine arts and art history in 2004. He taught at the Northwestern University in Evanston near Chicago, USA. He was a member of the group Maxumin. Presently lives and works in Sarajevo.
