EXHIBITION “COMA” NEBOJŠA ŠERIĆ SHOBA

We cordially invite you to visit the exhibition “Coma” by Nebojša Šerić Shoba that is open from June, 3.

“In this case the artworks are not similar to those that I’ve been creating up until that point (and after); these works are about psychotherapy, confronting the horrors of war, fears, paranoia, a literal discharge onto paper of all the possible distortions, that were thrown out under the circumstances of 1994. The biggest part of that still stayed inside, and it’s still slowly eating me, tearing my flesh and i doubt that it will ever come out on the surface, right until I reach the point of leaving myself behind and I enter into a new space and time.”

(From the poetry book “Coma” by Hidajet Šerkan Šerić)

Artworks from the series “Coma” are published as illustrations for a poetry book “Coma” by Hidajet Šerkan Šerić. The artist Shoba donated this series to the National Gallery of B&H and this is the first time the artworks are exhibited.
