Štetić Rizah
(1908 – 1974, B&H)
He studied at the Royal Academy of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb (1928-1932).
The tendency to experiment with different styles has resulted in a varied collection of works in which one can find elements of the new reality, fauvism, expressionism and Braque’s cubism. In later years, his tendency to research led him to abstract expressionism. However, most of the collection of his works consists of Bosnian landscapes and streets, still life and portraits.
He worked as a professor of painting at the State School of Fine Arts until 1957, when he was appointed director of the Secondary School of Applied Arts. He held this function until his retirement.
