Fikret Libovac graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in the class of the famous sculptor Alija Kučukalić. Libovac has bravely grappled with the problems of contemporary sculpture in the search of his own, original expression. He has never reached for the reasons of sculpture outside itself – he follows his own course, conditioned by the nature of his sensibility and understanding of
sculpture.
