Misirlić Bekir


Bekir Misirlić (Banja Luka, B&H, 1931 – Banja Luka, B&H, 2001)⁠
In 1953, graduated from the Faculty for Pedagogy, the Department of Arts, in Banja Luka. He taught drawing in a primary and a grammar school and then as the first director of the Art gallery of Banja Luka (1970-1973). He was one of the founders of the group «Četvorica» (“Four Artists”) and of the group “Prostor-Oblik” (“Space-Form”). He was a painter and a sculptor, produced the works in ceramics and mosaics. He had scores of solo and group exhibitions. He received numerous awards. From 1987, he was a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of B&H. The exhibition of his opus was held in November 1990 in the Collegium Artisticum Gallery in Sarajevo, in the organization of the National Gallery of B&H and the Art gallery of Banja Luka.⁠
