My Home

Deniz Čelebić & Yeliz Čelebić | Twin

As part of the multidisciplinary project My Home (Moja kuća), Twin will be at the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the project’s first site-specific performance. Dedicating to the life of their grandmother from Visegrad, who lost her home twice due to the war and rebuilt it twice, they will build the memory of their home twice. As they re-create their memories, they will turn National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the home.

Stating that they have been inspired by the artworks in the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina for years, Twin will also give reference to these works and establish link between the past and the present of the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which supports creation.

Deniz and Yeliz Celebic are half Bosnian and half Turkish twin performance artists and writers with the background in literature, history and ethnochoreology. They mainly deal with post traumatic recoveries through their multidisciplinary and international artworks.
