This event is vigilantly planned by the participating museums while being generously subsidized by the State Ministry of Culture and the City\/County Department of Culture.<br \/>\nIn B&#038;H, there are no such initiatives at the state or the city level and it\u2019s up to the museums and galleries themselves to pull together a modest yet symbolic celebration of this great and otherwise important European cultural event.<br \/>\nThe underlining premise behind the participation in this event is in its a great significance not only for the Art Gallery as an institution, but also for the image of Bosnia Herzegovina as a whole. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Museum Night&#8221; is a European wide event sponsored by the Council of Europe, UNESCO and ICOM, and it is held every year in mid May.
