Founders of the group were Anto Kajini\u0107, Mirko Mari\u0107 and Edin Numankadi\u0107, artists of different, but complementary sensibilities. The first time they exhibited as a group was in 1987 in Art Gallery Zenica (Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina). On that occasion, in the exhibition catalogue Zvonko Makovi\u0107 wrote: \u201eFar from any pathos, these works should be observed with clear eye. They do not appeal to any normative and aesthetic consciousness. To the contrary, aesthetic perception or subjection to convention \/: norms \/ these artists neither accept nor deny. Such definitions are excluded from their circle, or more precisely, they do not interfere with their system of expression.\u201c Thirty years later, despite all the research and the different paths of artistic development, the same can still be said. The exhibition in the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina presents Kajini\u0107&#8217;s world of whitness, Mari\u0107&#8217;s concerns for society and Numankadi\u0107&#8217;s intimate palette.<\/p>\n<p>Anto Kajini\u0107 (Modri\u010da, Bosnia i Herzegovina, 1953) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevu in 1977. Since 1980, he is a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH) and\u00a0 Association of Visual Artists of Croatia since 1998. He founded an art gallery of the Croatian cultural association Napredak Sarajevo in 1995. He worked at athe Academy of Fine Arts in \u0160iroki Brijeg since 1996, as a full professor at the Painting Department since 2009. From 1998 until 2007. he was a Vice Dean at the Academy, after which he was named the Dean and remained at that position until 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Mirko Mari\u0107 (Zenica, Bosnia i Herzegovina, 1949) attended the School for Applied Arts in Sarajevo and graduated from the Acadamey of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1976. Since 1972, he is a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH). He moved to Graz, Austria in 1993. He collaborates with\u00a0 RHIZOM Verein zur F\u00f6rderung Medien\u00fcbergreifender Kulturarbeit in Graz since 1995 and with UniT-Verein f\u00fcr Kultur na Karl-Franzens-Universit\u00e4t Graz since 2007. on various art projects. He received 14 international awards for achievements in visual art.<\/p>\n<p>Edin Numankadi\u0107 (Sarajevo, Bosnia i Herzegovina, 1948) graduated from the Faculty for Pedagogy, the Department for Fine Arts, in Sarajevo. He is a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH) since 1974. He is one of the founders of groups 1+1+1, Prostor-Oblik (Space-Form) and KAMMEN. He is also one of the founders of Ars Aevi collection and its permanent advisor. He participated twice at the Venice Biennale \u2013 in 1993, with the project entitled \u201eWitnesses of Existence\u201c, and in 2003, within the selection representing Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n<p>Exhibition is open until October 28, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three artists equally devoted to the artistic act of creation, expressing themselves with their own visual language, founded the group KAMMEN thirty years ago.
