He studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (1926-30) and at master class under Ivan Me\u0161trovi\u0107 (1930 &#8211; 32). He stayed in Paris for some time and visited galleries (1932\/1933). After returning he worked for Me\u0161trovi\u0107 in Split. He worked in the studio of Antun Augustin\u010di\u0107 in Zagreb (1937 &#8211; 41) and as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.
