He left studies of law and enrolled in graphic arts under Mortiz Heymann in 1906\/7. He was admitted to the Academy in 1907 and studied with Josip Ra\u010di\u0107 and Vladimir Beci\u0107. He spent the last two years of his life in Paris. He studied briefly at the Acad\u00e9mie de la Grande Chaumi\u00e8re, but during independent development of his painting style he moved from plein air Impressionism, through Secession to C\u00e9zzaneism and Expressionism.
