She started exhibiting in 1948. Novakovi\u0107 was engaged in art pedagogy. She made a study visit to Paris in 1964. One can notice influences of C\u00e9zzaneism and Cubists in her work. She had a solo exhibition at the Art Pavilion in Sarajevo 1966.
