In 1938 lived in Paris, for a while working in the studio of Andre Loth. In 1939, he returned to Sarajevo, and, together with a group of intellectuals and artists, he established the Collegium Artisticum, an association with progressive ideas that had a significant influence on the then cultural scene. By the beginning of the World War II, he jointed Tito&#8217;s partisans. After the liberation of the country, he was engaged in establishing the School of Art, where he served as a director. He was among the initiators and founders of the associations of fine arts of B&amp;H and Yugoslavia. He was a full member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of B&amp;H.
