On the occasion of 75th anniversary of the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we cordially invite you to visit the new permanent exhibition Gallery of Enthusiasm<\/em>. The exhibition is open for visits every day, except Sunday, from 10 AM to 8 PM<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new permanent exhibition consists of over 300 artworks from National Gallery of B&H’s collection, and some of the most significant artists that are presented are: Gabrijel Jurki\u0107<\/a><\/span>, Ismet Mujezinovi\u0107<\/a><\/span>, Petar Tije\u0161i\u0107<\/a><\/span>, Vojo Dimitrijevi\u0107<\/a><\/span>, \u0110oko Mazali\u0107<\/a><\/span> etc. In the Gallery of Enthusiasm\u00a0<\/em>presents paintings, drawings and sculptures, but also a part of National Gallery’s icon collection. The exhibited artworks were inherited from the Gallery of paintings of the National Museum, that was founded in 1930 and existed until the end of the Second World War. These artworks are the nucleus of National Gallery of B&H’s collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first part of the exhibition (first floor) presents a specific part of National Gallery’s collection – drawings and illustrations published in the magazine “Nada”, that was published during the XIX and XX century in Sarajevo. The shown artworks are mostly works by foreign artists like Ludvik Kuba<\/a><\/span>, brothers Leo<\/a><\/span> and Ewald Ceplin Arndt<\/a><\/span>, Vladislav Titelbach<\/a><\/span>, Maximilian Liebenwein<\/a><\/span>, Ferdinand Velc<\/a> <\/span>and many others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The second part of the exhibition (second floor) consists of Bosnian landscape paintings, traditional folklore motifs, life in the cities, self portraits and portraits of artists. A special wall is dedicated to the people who contributed to founding of the National Museum, from its first director Kosta Herman, to other relevant curators and directors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
