Pezo Mustafa

PEZO Mustafa

(Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1927 – Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1981)

He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1949 and he is one of the first schooled painters from Mostar, after World War II. He was admitted to the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH) in 1952 and since then has regularly presented his work at exhibitions organized by the Association.

It seems as if he tried to weave transience into his paintings, through the use of motives of old facades, still life and the use of an earthy palette of colors alongside gold accents.

He worked as a teacher in the Third elementary school in Mostar.
