About us

The National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 1946 and houses a collection of more than 6,000 works of modern and contemporary art. As the oldest and most important art museum institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it preserves and presents some of the country’s most significant visual art heritage. The collection is divided into several smaller collections, including the Ferdinand Hodler Collection, Icon Collection, Yugoslav Art Collection, International Donations Collection, Photography and New Media Collection, and the “NADA” Art Archive.
